Frosty Forest

So, while working on Celebrate the Seasons,
I was also creating my new Christmas line with Benartex,
Sammy, my sweet little owl from Night Owl
and his woodland friends were the inspiration for this fun
and vibrant collection

Frosty Forest was released last Fall at Quilt Market in Houston
and you can find it in stores now.
I created these three new applique patterns using the line,
Frosty’s Wonderland, a twin size quilt
Let it Snow, a tree skirt
that would also look awesome as a round runner

and Frosty, a wall hanging…

… I LOVE snowman and just had to have him!
….after that came….
Well, I’ll be back soon,
but I better focus… have several new patterns
to sew up for Sprint Market in May!
Hugs, Cherry

I’m back…

Hello there, I’ve been gone for a long time
and have been missing ya’ll so much!
2014 was an incredible, but crazy, busy year for me…
So many awesome things happened
and I want to share some of the fun things
I worked on over the next few days…
It all started with Celebrate the Seasons with C&T
The book includes patterns for Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter,
all with full size layouts & reversed templates!
I had a great time working on each of these projects,
and if I had to pick a favorite, it would have to be
Thankful… or maybe Merry & Bright?…
Humm, I don’t know…
the little chicks in Happy Easter turned out so sweet, plus …
well, then there’s the map, love maps and travel! … lol…
Okay, how can a mom have a favorite child, right?
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
Hugs,

Christmas in July and a giveaway!

Welcome to my day in the Modern Holiday Blog Tour!

Modern Holiday is a gorgeous book
filled with beautiful projects!
From cover to cover,
this book will inspire you!
Not only are the quilts, pillows, stockings,
the advent calendar, the tree skirt, and many more, amazing,
but the book itself is one of the pretties quilting books ever!
plus, Amanda’s instructions are clear and easy to follow.

These are some of my favorites…

 …love the appliqued snowflakes…

Don’t you just love these?
…so fresh and modern!
I already know what fabric I’ll use for my advent calendar…
Yeah, those are little Yo-Yos… love, love!

…the tree skirt is soooooo pretty… gotta have one too!

When I saw Amanda’s quilts at Market,
I knew I had to make the cover girl, Holiday Forest…
… you know how much I like trees!
and I had some happy fabric in my stash
that was perfect for this quilt…
The easy to follow, step by step instructions,
made this a fun, easy, and super quick project.

I love it! And have enough leftover fabric
to make the matching pillows!

Pincushion, pincushions…

I love pincushions and have collected a few patterns over the years,
now I just need a few extra hours in my day to get them done, lol!
I just finished these two little cupcakes
for my Pincushion Swap hosted by Bea
I used two kits I bought at the Superior Threads booth
in Houston, using their Texture Magic
super fun little project…
They were kitted in these little plastic containers
that will be great to ship in Ü
I also bought a kit to make a bag for my IPad,
and can’t wait to work on it after making this little guys!
I pulled out my stamps
and Fabrico pens, which I LOVE,
and made these…
  Soooooo easy, and fun!
Then I decided to make a bunch of these as Christmas gifts
for my friends in my modern quilt guild, The ModGal Studio
For the girl, I used our logo and printed it onto
fabric prepared for printing,
and used a fun alphabet to stamp “ModGal” onto the ribbon;
I used a red/white chevron print for the back, and it turned out fantastic!
