I’m so excited to tell you about my friend Erin Hentzel‘s wonderful new book, Doll Days!
It’s a fabulous book about vintage inspired doll clothes with a modern flair. The book is filled with gorgeous photographs, easy to follow instructions, and loads of inspiration for making beautiful outfits for 18″ dolls, plus suggestions for modifying or adding embellishments.
I started sewing doll clothes at the age of four and felt like a kid again making a dress for my American Doll. I used a favorite print from my Sunday Ride fabric collection with Benartex, added a little touch of aqua, and trimmed it with little flowers.
I really enjoyed making this quick project and can’t wait to make the little shorts, shirts, and the cutest sun dress in the book!
How about you, have you ever sewn doll clothes? Would you like to make some of Erin’s cute dresses? C&T is giving away a copy of Doll Days! (eBook for international winners) And how about sewing the little outfits with some of my fabric?
To enter the giveaway, leave a comment about your favorite childhood doll or toy. Giveaway closes this Sunday, July 3rd, at midnight.

I can’t believe Thanksgiving is this week and 2015 is almost over! It’s been a crazy and very busy year, but a wonderful one! Fall Market in Houston was just a few weeks ago and it was such fun visiting with friends and being surrounded by so many amazing people and their beautiful work.
I shared Benartex’s Contempo booth with my friends Amanda and Sara. New patterns for my new line, Sunday Ride, are on the back, left side, Amanda’s beautiful Christmas line, Sparkle, is on the right, Sarah’s gorgeous line, Transformation, on the front, left side, and on the right you can see Michelle’s Fresh Bloom.
But this time it was really hard to go…
My sweet Emmie came home just 4 days before I had to leave for Market! She’s a miniature Schnauzer and is a whole 4.6 lbs…
Sunday Ride was inspired by bike rides with my children around our neighborhood…
I really enjoyed making these new designs for Sunday Ride and working with this fun, vibrant line.
Sunday Ride will be in stores in February, and since you stopped by today, would you like to make one of these quilts? They’re super easy and have a touch of hand embroidery to add a bit more detail. I’d like to give a pattern to 4 of my sweet visitors. To enter, leave a comment and tell me which one you like best and why. I’ll choose a winner on Thanksgiving, 11/26 at midnight. I’ll also include a charm pack sampler of Sunday Ride.
Thanks everyone for stopping by and entering!
The winners are: Carol, Sue Ellen, Mello, & Ashley
