A little applique, a little piecing and some simple,elegant hand embroidery is what the Winter Cheer quilt-along is all about!

Winter Cheer features a 12 blade Dresden plate block with a
hand or machine embroidered center, outlined with a little wave trim.
The quilt is composed of nine 14” x 14” blocks, framed with easy sashing and borders.
Finished size: 78" x 78"

Dates:

  • Start: August 22, 2023
  • Finish: Nov 28, 2023
  • 10 Sessions over a period of 15 weeks

How it works: Register at your local quilt shop or on my website, purchase your pattern and choose your favorite fabrics or order a QAL kit. On the 22nd of August, we will begin with a Zoom meeting where we’ll meet and discuss all the details about the QAL and get started with our fun project.

The classroom provides pre-recorded instructional videos filled with tips for each block and helpful techniques used to make the quilt, from applique to hand and machine embroidery, piecing, finishing the quilt, plus bonus instruction such as coloring the embroidery, and much more. We will also have three virtual meetings via Zoom.

There are several bonus projects, including a needle book, project bag, and more.

Once you are registered, we will add you to the classroom and you’ll be able to download the calendar, QAL Planner PDF, and supply list.

We will also have a private community to share your progress, ask questions, etc.
