On my design wall…

…is my first finish of 2012!!!  A Yo-Yo Christmas tree – can you believe it? red and white – again… I see a trend here… this was a project with one of my quilting guilds a while back (can’t even remember when)… I think everyone else finished theirs, and several of my friends made several, including some with Fall fabrics – they were gorgeous, and now, I can say mine is done too!!!

I used these Clover quick Yo-Yo makers; here’s their great tutorial!
I carried a little bag with me everywhere I went and was able to get a bunch done;
they’re so fast and fun to make, I ended up with a few leftovers

And here’s one of my 2011 PhD Challenge finishes. I actually finished it back in June, but could not find the binding fabric!!! One day, looking through my kit stash closet, I found it in the bottom, furthest corner, under several other stacks of fabric!!! So back in October, it was bound and got to hang in my guild’s yearly Library Quilt display.

Happy quilting,

    Oh! That tree quilt is so cute too. It will be fabulous hung along with the Swirly tree.

    The snowen runner is darling too. Isn't it frustrating to loose vital parts to your projects?

    Cherry, my yoyo tree (Halloween) isn't finished so you aren't the caboose and my snowman runner stills needs quilting and binding. Too many projects, not enough time!!
