Last night was The ModGal Studio Guild meeting – my modern quilt guild.
We made this fun travel iron tote.
The pattern Caddy Pad is by Sister’s Common Thread
and holds a full size iron.

The pattern was fairly easy to follow;
I added batting to the handles and
sewed the binding from the right side of the pattern.

Isn’t that polka-dot button cute? Sweet Mary shared with me 🙂
The main fabric is Sew Now! Sew Wow! by Alexander Henry – 2008
and the handle fabric is a FQ I found in the clearance bin at my LQS
– so glad I grabbed it!

This is what it looks like when open for pressing
I printed my name on Printed Treasures fabric to create the little tag
I really enjoyed making this and plan to make a few more!
Yep-I need to make myself one of those too, great idea and thanks for sharing.
Love it. What a clever idea!
That is fabulous! I love your fabric choices too. A special iron will be dressed up for travel in that.
