Aren’t half-square triangles fun… an oh so versatile!
This is my version of the Old Maids Puzzle block for the Butterflies and Bowties Benartex Designer Hop, made in my latest Christmas collection, Nordic Cabin. I chose some of the red and green prints and used the white on white for the background… one of my favorite things of this collection is the pearlescent finish, perfect to add a little sparkle to a quilt.
This was such a fun block to play with, I even added a four patch to a second block…
… and worked the block into a few layouts! Love the star it forms here:
And how about placing the blocks on point?
For this one I used the stripe print for the blocks and the border… I need to make a quilt just with this stripe, haha!
