Quilt Block Remix

Applique and free-motion quilting are definetely favorites, but I also love piecing and am so excited to be part of the 2024 Quilt Block Remix challenge hosted by Tammy of Tamarinis and Kate of Kate Colleran Designs. The challenge is for designers to reenvision a traditional quilt block and share their progress weekly… fabric choices on the first Monday of the month, sneak peaks the next two weeks, and a final reveal on the fourth Monday.

Of course, I’m a huge fan of my new Stitch Garden collection and just had to use it for this month’s challenge. You know I love aquas, greens and pinks, and even though I don’t typically gravitate to purples, I absolutely love the soft shades of lavender, especially when combined with a little grey and aqua, so for this block I’m playing with the little purple flowers in Stitch Garden, the white-on-white, the purple cross stitch print and a pretty little aqua from my Chalk Texture collection.
