It’s my day…

…in the

Yay! It’s finally here!!!

I’m so happy to show you my stacks of bowls,
but first, I want to thank our wonderful hostesses
Carol from Just Let Me Quilt
and Madame Samm from Sew We Quilt!
and hugs to Regina for sharing her beautiful pattern.
I have been soooooo inspired
by all the incredible bloggers
participating in this fun Blog Hop!
Hasn’t it just been awesome?
Soooo much yummy eye candy, right?
Well, I hope you will enjoy my little bowls
and if I’d had a few more hours to my day, I would’ve kept going, lol!

I love paper piecing and this one was so fun!
It’s made with a fun Christmas fabric in red, black, and green

I fused paper backed fusible to some of the fabric
and cut out the leaves and stars for the little appliques…
yeah, those little green stars are smaller than a dime!!!
I know, nuts….

And my other stack had to be appliquéd!
You know how much I LOVE appliqué

and since the pattern gave the option…
Well, here it is!
I used my Big Shot to cut out the little appliqués…
did I tell you how tiny they are?
the flowers are about the size of a nickel!!!
I put two strands of thread through my machine
to stitch down his little tail…
next time I’ll have to stabilize the
background fabric better,
but I like the results…no hand stitching necessary, he he!
°Ü°
Well, that’s it!
I’m so happy you came by to see my little bowls!
But there’s more…
Check out the other bloggers sharing their stacks today:

August 21st
Happy hopping!

Cherry, I am impressed what you made from my little pattern. Both pieces are artistic by fabric choice and come to life by the additional appliqué (which I really really love).
I would like to add your images to my guest gallery. Please contact me at info@reginagrewe.de.

Oh I love both of your versions, but I have to say – the black, green and red one for xmas is my favorite of any bowls I"ve seen so far. I"m a sucker for Holly leaves and that color combination. Dang – now I want that one! Mine will look so plain compared to yours! They really are wonderful!
