And the winners are…

Susan said… OOOH, I love the wreath! Both are beautiful! Some of our favorite Christmas traditions are to have a soup supper on Christmas Eve, everyone open one gift that evening, stockings first thing Christmas morning, then raspberry cream cheese coffee cake for breakfast while reading the miracle of Christ’s birth in Luke 2. Thanks for the chance to win!

…and Thearica Oh wow!!!!!! To be discovered through blog hops is fantastic! I love BOTH of your designs!! if I had to chose, it would be the tree!! And I would do it up in the red and white like yours in honor of my mother. She loved anything and everything that was red and white!! One of my mothers favorite traditions was taking a shoe and putting it in the ashes of the fireplace and making footprints to the tree and back to the fireplace… We would all squeal with delight when she would put the fire out before bed!! As we got older, my oldest sister and I heard the thumping of the boot one Christmas Eve and got up to investigate… YEP.. we were given the sermon of DO NOT tell your younger sister and brother! It was so magical knowing we had a secret we could keep from our other 2 siblings then!As we married and had our own families, it still remained a tradition to go to mothers on Christmas Day. Her tree was huge and she had a chirping bird ornament. When she passed away, I asked about the ornie but noone appears to know where it got off to…hmmm… makes me sad… Mother loved to cook and she set the best table laden down with delicious foods… ham, turkey, dressing, creamed potatoes, green beans, homemade macaroni and cheese, slaw, rolls, cream corn… and RED VELVET cake from scratch!! My mother could make one mean red velvet cake!! Of course my brother thought it was all his! But his older 3 sisters showed him who was boss! ha! 🙂

What fun!
