It’s my day in the Ho Ho Ho Blog Hop
hosted by oh so merry Carol at Just Let Me Quilt
and Sew We Quilt‘s Mdm Sam!
Have you seen all the incredible Christmas projects
shared over the last few days?
And today has more beautiful inspiration for us all at…
°Ü°
I was inspired by an amazing little Christmas Tree
made by Rita of Red Pepper Quilts.
My friend Katherine saw the same post,
so two weeks ago, while on retreat,
we couldn’t resist and just had to make the little trees!
I made mine with 2.5″ squares
For the half-square triangles,
I started out with 3″ squares,
sewed the triangles
and trimmed to 2.5″ squares
… fabric-slaw!
here it is on the design wall…
Love the way Rita quilted hers…
so I did the same thing
and LOVE, LOVE how it turned out!
…may have to make a throw size…
wouldn’t that be cool?

Thanks so much for visiting today
and hope you enjoy the rest of the hop!
I like this little tree and since I am becoming addicted to halfsquare triangles I am going to have to make one.

Lve, love, love your tree! Your quilting is fantastic!
Super cute quilt Cherry, now it's on my to do list !
I adore this quilt. It is one of my favs of the hop. I could see it in a throw size AND the wall hanging/table topper size both. I think it would be cool to have a throw and then have a wall hanging, too! Or, is that overkill. If that's overkill – could they be in different fabrics yet complimentary. I really love this pattern and it is adorable. I need to make a small quilt for the small quilt auction for the guild quilt show in June 2014 – we have a quilt show every other year. I need to get started or June will be here and I won't have it done. Maybe you don't know how that happens. I think this might be a contender. Thanks for participating and giving us a tutorial. I think I can do this, even though 1/2 triangles aren't my fav – I don't like to make slaw – lol.
Oh, so cute! I love it and think it would be really nice in a throw size, too. I need to add this to my "want to make it" list! Thanks for the tutorial. :O)
