Where has time gone! Christmas is just around the corner and another Market has come and gone! Are you all set for the 25th? Me? Ha ha, not even close! So over the next few days, I’ll be sharing a few quick projects, both gifty and to decorate for the season, but first, let me show you what I had for Fall Market in Houston this year.
You know how much I love aqua, but this collection has not a drop of aqua! Yup, you heard me right… or should it be read me right? Haha, any who, green has truly always been my fave color of all time, close, if not equally followed by any ocean hue… but getting back to this collection, red and green were the colors chosen for this group, and a nice touch of grey…
Grey works with everything, such an awesome background color! Doesn’t it look lovely behind those ornaments? And how about the little snowmen friends print? Yes, hard to say which I like best, the green background, the grey…. what do you think? And what about the bubbles print, yes, I can say that is probably my favorite print in the collection, so versatile and not necessarily a Christmas print, right?
And here again you can see that grey background in the cookies print… cookies, yum! Are you backing this year? Haven’t done that in a while, need to dig up some recipes and bake something this season. Do you have any good recipes?… Okay, getting side-tracked again, haha. So, what do you think about the houndstooth print? I am so in love with it and this is what I made using both the red and grey abundantly…
This is Christmas Blossom, a nice size throw, and no curve piecing! The “petals” are appliqued, otherwise my “circular” blocks may have looked a bit more like an egg, haha! So this is a super easy to piece and applique design, even a beginner would enjoy, especially the large blossom. And since I loved it so much, I’m including two additional projects with the pattern, a runner and a large 24″ pillow.
Now you know I cut all my applique shapes with an electronic cutter, so I’m also including the applique shapes’ SVG files in the Christmas Blossom pattern (CB138)… oh, patterns will be available by end of year and the fabric will ship to stores April 2018.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog! Come back tomorrow for a fun little Christmas tutorial!
Hugs,
